"Before the pandemic broke. I had a dream about the end of the world. This translated into the lyrics that now make up 'Ice-9', and as news of the pandemic slowly filtered into our lives, the dream started taking shape into reality. The song is about how that felt - the paranoid delusions of believing I caused the pandemic, the fragile state of my physical and mental health and the world falling into dystopia; I was in a state of panic, as was the rest of the world. 'Ice-9' is about finding the comfort and safety amid a world on fire."
